CHURCH-LED GROUPS

Monday Morning Friendship Group

Monday Friendship Group has now re-started and meets from 2-4pm on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month between September and June in our church hall. Open to everyone in the village it has a wide variety of social and devotional activities and over the years is proud to have raised thousands of pounds for local and international charities. Busy Bees Baby and Toddler Group has re-started and is a thriving goup of parents, carers, babies and toddlers which now meets in the Church hall on Wednesday mornings from 10am-11.30am There are plenty of play activities and it is a good opportunity for adults to meet over a cup of tea or coffee. The group is always staffed by at least two CRB cleared members of the church. Contact Sue on 01524 761542.

Local User Groups

Age UK Seated Exercise Class meets on Friday mornings in the Church Hall and is run by a qualified physiotherapist. This has now re-started and for further details contact Eileen on 01524 761720.

Arnside Guide Unit has now re-started and meets in the Church Hall on Tuesday evenings during term time from 7.30-9.00pm. For further details, click on this link

Arnside Sight Advice Support Group has temporarily halted meetings due to Covid. It is a branch of Sight Advice, South Lakes, Kendal and meets in the Church Hall on the 3rd Monday of the month from 10.30am – 12 noon. The group provides practical and social support for people with visual impairment and their carers. For further details contact Tony Rees on 01524 761478

The Pilates Group has re-started and meets on Thursdays from 9.30am – 10.30 am and from 6.30pm – 7.30pm. For further details email Joanne at jhpilates361@gmail.com.

Other local groups such as First Responders, Arnside Medical Support Practice and the Horticultural Society meet in our hall occasionally during the year.

FUND-RAISING EVENTS

In recent years, the new, flexible layout of the church has enabled us to stage a number of special events to raise money for local, national and international organisations. Events include concerts, fashion shows, arts and craft festivals and Christmas Tree festivals, The latter is now an established bi-annual event with up to 20 local organisations exhibiting trees.
